Now, I know we said Trinidad Carnival is the perfect trip to travel solo (and we’re not taking that back), however like ANY kind of solo travel, you should do your due diligence.  Make sure that you look into the following before booking any solo trip:

1. Take advantage of group tours.  You should also ensure there are multiple ways to connect with your group before you get to your destination.  With Ultimate Trinidad Carnival, we've matched dozens of solo travelers over the years with amazing results!  Solo tip: If you're requesting the group tour to match you with a roommate, do like we do - ensure that you understand how this is done and that you get to connect with the person before hand.
2. Book with a reputable company.  Here are some questions to think about as you do your research:  Are you Better Business Bureau (BBB) rated/accredited?  Do you have testimonials from or videos of real people on your website?  Do you have a website that doesn't look "shady"?  Also, tap your connections - do you know someone on social media who might have traveled with them?  Ultimate Trinidad Carnival can answer a resounding "yes" to the 1st 3 questions!  Now, whether you know someone (who knows someone) who has traveled with us, well only you can answer that ;)
3. Know the refund policy.  We’ve all done it; gotten excited about booking the perfect trip and booked it, only to find out that their refund policy isn’t very refundable at all.  Know the refund policy before you put that deposit down.  Our refund policy is flexible enough that if something comes up, you can get a full or partial refund depending on what time of year you cancel.  Our packages can also be transferred to another person if needed.
